Biography // Nijmegen (NL) based 18-year-old producer Ifang Bremer released his first E.P ‘Delusion’ (esc.rec) in March 2013, receiving positive critical response as his three-track debut was described to be ‘’beautiful minimal techno in search of a Warp records/Kompakt sound’’ (Gonzo Circus magazine) and ‘’nice ambient techno armchair shit’’ (Vital Weekly).
His music has a melancholic feel to it and ranges from obscure techno to down tempo IDM songs build upon dreamy soundscapes and subtle beats – all honest reflections of what’s going on in his mind. His work also consists of composing soundscapes for performance arts and collaborations with his father Peter Bremer, who is a painter and visual artist. Ifang’s obsession for beats and synthesizers finds its roots in Doornroosje, the local club in Nijmegen where he started visiting the Planet Rose nights in 2011. The underground vibe, the killer techno line-ups and his first ‘dancing till dawn’ experiences are a clear cause for his unconditional love for electronic music.
In 2013 Ifang passed his auditions for the Rockacademy in Tilburg and is currently studying music production (BA of Music) to develop his skill and talent. His latest projects are an upcoming techno EP, devoted to the deep and puristic side of techno and another collaboration with his father Peter Bremer, combining visual arts and experimental electronic music in an installation, that can be seen in the Panzerhalle (Potsdam, Germany) in may.
